I am a research staff and a grad student at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where I closely work with Dr. Fernando De la Torre and Dr. Jeffrey Cohn in the Human Sensing Lab and the Affect Analysis Group. My research interests involve computer vision and machine learning problems, specifically those related to common pattern discovery, gender classification, face recognition and image retrieval. Currently I am working on an age-old yet exciting and unresolved topic on automatic facial expression analysis.
